Or, you can run it right from normal Windows.restore just one application.Recover the whole computer.and so on. As was posted Check to see if the Recovery disk creator utility is there and perhaps you can make a set of disks.
Hi People. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!! Tag connected faults.
I have an old HP desktop pc running windows XP. It has got so cluttered over the years and takes ages to boot up.
I am wanting to reset it back to factory settings. I know everyone says hit the F11 key te reset it, but, there is no F11 option on the screen as it passes by.
I went to 'compmgmt.msc' and then into 'disk management' and it shows the whole drive is disk C: there is no partition with any recovery programs/software.
I have a friend who also has an HP desktop pc running XP. On his pc, going to 'compmgmt.msc' and 'disk management' shows the disk drive C: but has a partition labelled 'HP_RECOVERY'
So the question is, Is it possible to somehow copy his partition labelled 'HP_RECOVERY' and Install it into my pc so
letting me factory reset my old pc???
Any help or ideas about this problem will be gratefully received.
Bringe.
